The convenience of the major search engines has removed all community and state boundaries from the online experience, which is great for learning about our world, but in the long run it hurts the local business economy unless each and every business in Florida jumps in to help combat those daily revenue losses. Here is a "Catch 22" for you: Florida employees want raises and better benefits, yet they go online and buy from the first web site where they find what they are looking for with no regard for where that funding is going. It's not their fault for two reasons, 1. they don't know how to check that location and see who owns that web site they are buying from, and 2. they can't readily find our own Florida businesses because of the extensive out of state marketing within "Florida". |

Any regional economy can be measured by how long it keeps revenue circulating in within that region. The consumers that live right in your neighborhood, even your employees are buying from out-of-state. There are simple ways of finding out where any web site is actually based, but most people are to busy to take an entire minute.
